KEDARNATH TEMPLE -HEAVEN OF THE EARTH

Kedarnath Temple is one of the most revered Hindu shrines, located in the majestic Himalayas in Uttarakhand, India. Dedicated to Lord Shiva, it is one of the twelve Jyotirlingas and a vital part of the Char Dham Yatra and Panch Kedar pilgrimage.

According to Hindu mythology, the Pandavas built the temple to seek Lord Shiva’s blessings after the Kurukshetra war. Kedarnath is believed to be the place where Lord Shiva took refuge in the form of a bull and later vanished into the ground, leaving his hump behind.
